    Over 60 restaurants will participate in Restaurant Week on Sept. 13 through Sept. 25.  The restaurants are working with the Center City District to "create a safe experience so residents and visitors can support local businesses and keep local workers employed."

    The art has missed you—and so have we! We're excited to announce that on September 6, we’ll be open to visitors again, and we can’t wait to see you.

    They've taken every precaution to ensure that the museum is a safe space for all of us, so be sure to check their website for more information on what you can expect when you visit. There are new protocols in place to help create a worry-free experience, including no-touch temperature checks, enhanced cleaning procedures, limited capacity, new hours, and more.

    And for those who aren’t quite ready to come in person, we’ll continue offering inspiring digital experiences that bring the art to you.

    The Philadelphia Flower Show is moving to a new location next year, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the show’s organizer, announced Thursday in an email to members. The location is yet to be determined, but PHS is looking at early summer of 2021, instead of its usual early March schedule.

    The Streets Department also launched a new initiative entitled: "Curb Your Waste" that offers tips for residents to manage their waste that will help reduce trash and litter, decrease delays and protect sanitation workers.     Mural Arts Philadelphia and our partners at Rush Arts Philadelphia, HAHA Magazine, and StreetsDept.com are excited to announce the 20 esteemed artists selected to participate in our first annual Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists.

    These artists demonstrate immense promise in their craft and we look forward to seeing their work flourish! You can view their work and learn more about the Fellowship on our website and at @muralarts.

    We launched this endeavor to create space for and serve as a reliable resource to the Black artist community in Philadelphia. As a leading arts organization, we recognize our responsibility to fund, foster and elevate the important work of Black artists. Mural Arts is committed to offering iterations of this Fellowship on an annual basis, and look forward to opening applications again in Spring 2021. Stay tuned!
