Join the Philadelphia Commission for Women for a one-hour virtual presentation to commemorate the life and legacy of Harriet Tubman's post-Civil War advocacy for the right to vote.

A conversation with  Dr. Bettye Collier-Thomas (Temple University historian) and Allener M. Baker-Rogers and Fasaha M. Traylor, authors of They Carried Us: The Social Impact of Philadelphia's Black Women Leaders is expected to shed light on access to the ballot that continues today.

The program is also an opportunity to elevate the 200^th anniversary of Tubman's birth and to kick-off the commission's Women's History Month series Your Voice. Your Power. Your Vote: Making Democracy Work.
