Join them for a virtual documentary screening of The Six Triple Eight, a film that explores the history and service of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only all black female battalion to serve in Europe during World War II.  This battalion will soon be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.  You can watch the trailer for the documentary here

The Philadelphia Commission for Women in collaboration with The Greater Philadelphia Area Veteran Chamber of Commerce, LS Reddick Associates, LLC, and Lincoln Penny Films will honor these brave women of WWII and celebrate all women who have served with a special screening of The Six Triple Eight documentary.

We will also be premiering a virtual theater performance of the monologue, "While You Were Sleeping",  which highlights local women veterans sharing their military journey from the field to returning home.

This event will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 2:00p.m - 5:00p.m. Register below to receive a special Zoom invitation prior to the start of our Veterans Day programming!
