The Impact of COVID-19 on Black and Brown Women

  • 19 Aug 2020

  • Virtual

COVID-19 has hit communities of color and immigrants in Philadelphia in complex and fatal ways. Black and Brown women who are the essential workers in healthcare, childcare, education, retail and domestic work, remain invisible while bearing the brunt of this pandemic.

The Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Affairs, the Philadelphia Commission for Women, the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, the Mayor’s Office of Engagement for Women and New Century Trust will hold a virtual Town Hall listening session for community leaders and public policy makers to hear from women with lived experience who will tell how the corona virus has impacted them and what government can do to improve their lives during this crisis.

Join us Wednesday, August 19 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM for this free Town Hall event. Register by clicking the picture!
